Optically active semiconductor quantum dots are a versatile platform for coherent interfaces across a wide range of quantum technologies. In this work, we investigate interactions of a single InGaAs quantum dot with its composite solid-state environment and with optical and mechanical fields. We first study electron-spin dynamics arising from coupling to a nuclear spin bath and a fermionic reservoir.
