This event is a guided native plant walk designed to teach participants how to garden with native species to better support local bird populations and their food webs. It is a collaborative effort between the Library of North Carolina, the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. The session begins with a brief introduction to the NC Birding Trail and the NC Bird Atlas, an ongoing five-year community science project. Following this, attendees will walk through the
