Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control invites the community to take part in Steps for Shelter Pets, a meaningful walk designed to raise awareness and critical support for the animals in our care. This year's event will be held **Saturday, May 30** from **10 a.m. to 2 p.m.** at **Pearl Street Park**. In 2025 alone, more than 10,800 animals entered our shelter.
