NC’s Route to Victory in the Revolution: The Race to the Dan August 7–8, 2026 Join us for a two-day commemoration exploring North Carolina’s critical role in the Revolutionary War during the Winter Campaign of 1781. Through keynote presentations, living history, reenactments, and historical interpretation, this event will highlight the events and people connected to “The Race to the Dan,” a pivotal campaign that helped lead to the British surrender at Yorktown later that year.
