This Independence Day, celebrate America's 250 with a guided hike that brings local history to life through the lens of our living landmarks: witness trees. Participants will learn how to identify and age several species of trees along the Piedmont Loop Trail, trees which served as silent observers to events of the past and to the history being made each day. Trail distance is 1.4 miles, "easy" but traveling over some short, steeper inclines. Bring what you need to be comfortable, dress for the
