The Pioneer Heritage Festival will promote Haywood County's early pioneer history. Heritage demonstrations will be held on the grounds of the Shelton House Museum with artisans showcasing the skills that were needed for daily living in the early 1800s. Exhibits depicting North Carolina's role in the American Revolution will be on display in the Shelton House barn. Members of SAR and DAR will be onsite to help visitors learn how to identify ancestors who fought in the American Revolution. The
