“Invasive” plants are introduced, aggressively-growing plants that negatively impact local ecosystems. Join park staff at Haw River State Park’s Iron Ore Belt Access to help remove these leafy invaders! Typical workdays start with paperwork for new volunteers (less than five minutes) followed by a short hike to the work area where volunteers will receive instruction on how to identify the target species of the day. The rest of the time will be used on employing hands-on, seasonally appropriate
