The Shakers used a distinctive material for crafting seats on chairs, footstools, and settees - colorful, woven strips of cotton or wool known as "tape" or "listing". In this workshop, you'll get a hands-on introduction to the art of chair taping! We'll use a mix of traditional and modern materials, and by the end of the afternoon you'll walk away with a completed footstool.
