The Land Alchemists follows Sunny, a Black genderqueer farm manager who was laid off for their teach-in on Palestine and the Congo. They return to a childhood home where they hope to heal and figure out what's next. They have the unconventional guidance from Shadow, Spirit, embodied aspects of Sunny, as well as revolutionary ancestors like Patrice Lumumba, Mahmoud Darwish, and Katherine Dunham.
