Award-winning trombonist Jack Trathen is a Raleigh native and is an alum of Durham Jazz Workshop and Triangle Youth Jazz. While studying at Michigan State University, he received recognition from the International Trombone Association, the American Trombone Workshop, and Jazz Aspen Snowmass.
