Irish-French composer Augusta Holmès's Au bois dormant from Paysages d’Amour is an uplifting song, full of joys the love-drunk lovers, and was recorded by tenor Thomas Elwin and pianist Lana Bode on the 2025 album le vase brisé [see my review ]. Here the song forms the soundtrack to a lovely new film, released for Pride, which celebrates a pair of lovers, Ru Charlesworth and Michael Magennis, wandering around Soho, the colour of love gradually emerging in the film.
