Stamp Defiance Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is commemorating the 75th anniversary of the placement of the Statue of Liberty Replica in Innes Park and the 140th anniversary of the dedication of the original Statue of Liberty. This replica is the only replica in North Carolina and was placed by the Boy Souts in 1951.
