Milan plays trumpet and flugelhorn. He studied in Portland, Oregon in 1986 at Mount Hood Community College then began his career working cruise ship jobs before finding his way to Austin where he was quickly welcomed into the jazz community. Over the years he has performed in both small ensembles and big bands, and has performed with jazz artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Williams, Dick Shearer, and many others. Milan now leads his own small group for public and private events.
