Join us for an exclusive, intimate screening of Marcel’s Promise! A short film about the legendary boxing and LGBTQ pioneer, Panama Al Brown. The first Latino boxing champion, much of Brown’s story was forgotten until Jose Corpas wrote his biography, BLACK INK, in 2016. Corpas takes a different approach now, with a short film foucsing on the last days of Brown’s life in Harlem.
