This competition was established by the children of the late Elizabeth B. Stephens, who was a church organist from age thirteen until she was seventy-five. She played the organ in Thomaston, GA, Panama, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Darien, CT, and Atlanta, GA.
