You are invited to attend a special and commemorative event at the Davie County Public Library. Our Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence on August 2, 1776. Nevertheless, they officially adopted it on July 4 of that same year. On Thursday, July 2, from 2-6 pm, the library's Martin-Wall History Room will allow the public to sign and take home their own copy of the infamous document. Those in attendance will also be allowed to hear others read it aloud. There will be artifacts
