This race is all on dirt and many of the sections are flat and fast, however the 4.5 mile race has 731 feet of climbing and the ½ Marathon 2,444 feet. This is NOT an easy race. Please study the maps to make sure you are ready for a challenge. Hikers are most welcome if they can maintain a 16 minute per mile pace for the ½ marathon and 20 min/mi for the 4.5 mile. The cutoff time for the 4.5 mile race is 90 minutes and the ½ marathon is 3 hrs & 28 min. The race will be followed by post race snacks
