Swain Clean is a volunteer group of individuals interested in keeping our community clean through anti-litter and beautification efforts, NOTE: MONDAY cleanup of the shoreline around Ela Dam with the Carolina Canoe Club as part of their annual Week of Rivers clean-up. Location is in Whittier (Ela area) where US 19 meets US19A. Take the Dam Road on the north side of the Oconaluftee River. We'll also learn more from Mainspring Conservation Trust about the project to remove the Ela Dam and restore
