According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1,220 people in the United States die from extreme heat every year. The last 6 years, according to the National Weather Service, the July temperature in Charlotte has averaged out to be more than 3 degrees higher than the historical average. With increased temperatures come increased health risks. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreati
