Event Details Dr. Greg Brooking will present "A Born Merchant: The Origins of Henry Laurens's Trading Empire." He is currently at work on a biography of Laurens \(the first since 1915\) entitled Henry Laurens: A Southern Founder. Greg holds an BA, an MA, and a PhD in history. He is in his 32nd year of teaching, from middle school through college.
