Event Details This pop-up exhibition will feature records documenting the colony's move toward self-government in 1775, accounts of the decisive American victory at the Battle of Sullivan's Island in June 1776, and materials related to the British siege and capture of Charleston in 1780. Highlights of the exhibition include a draft of the Association, a loyalty oath taken by members of the South Carolina Provincial Congress in 1775, in which its members promise to defend South Carolina and risk
