The Furman University Department of Music’s lakeside concert series, the “Sounds of Summer,” is underway. Join the Lakeside Concert Band and guest artists to listen to at least an hour of music every Thursday now through July 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the amphitheater or in McAlister Auditorium on campus. All concerts are free and open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs, a picnic dinner and a blanket, and get ready to enjoy a cross-section of big band, jazz, international, contemporary and tradition
