RISE (Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability and Equity) needs volunteers to help with dune restoration (Beach 44th Street & the Boardwalk) on Mondays and Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and at its Native Plant Nursery (190 Beach 44th Street) on Mondays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. At the dunes, help with invasive plant removal, beach cleanup, plantings, watering, and other tasks.
